Performer Waiver

Media Consent & Confidentiality Agreement

Every performer on the roster signs this. Read it in full, then sign below — your application and your signed waiver are submitted together, and a copy of the signed PDF is emailed to you.

By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the following terms in connection with my engagement as a performer with Ijalyan Production ("Ijalyan").

1. Media Consent & Likeness Release

I understand that I may be photographed, filmed, recorded, or livestreamed during event hours or anywhere on the premises of an Ijalyan engagement. I grant Ijalyan Production an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use my image, likeness, voice, and any resulting photographs or recordings — in whole or in part, alone or alongside other material, in any medium now known or later devised — to promote Ijalyan through print, online, social, or other media. This grant is permanent and may not be withdrawn once given. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials and any claim to compensation, royalties, or credit arising from their use.

2. Confidentiality & No Contact Exchange

I will not give, receive, request, or exchange contact information of any kind with any guest, client, host, or vendor. This is absolute — not only "personal" information but business, company, agency, management, and brand details, mine or anyone else’s, directly or through a third party, at the event or any time after: numbers, handles, emails, addresses, business cards, QR codes, links, and booking pages. No social media contact whatsoever with anyone met through Ijalyan — no exchanging or accepting handles, no following, adding, messaging, commenting, or tagging, and no accepting their requests. I will not promote or solicit any other business, studio, agency, performer, or brand, including my own. If asked for my information or about booking, I will decline and refer the person to Ijalyan management. The only exception is Ijalyan’s written permission in advance. Conversation with guests stays on the event. Without Ijalyan’s authorization I will not share or post event details, or anything that happened during or around a performance — photos, names, or interactions — publicly or privately. I may post content of only myself, showing no one else and no private details. These obligations continue indefinitely, including after my engagement ends.

3. Content, Footage & Costume IP

I will not ask for, request, or accept photographs, video, or any other content or footage from any photographer, videographer, vendor, host, or guest at or in connection with an Ijalyan event, and I will not contact any of them for that purpose. Any content I wish to receive or use must come from Ijalyan Management, by exclusive written permission granted in advance. All costumes, headpieces, props, choreography, designs, and event concepts are the exclusive intellectual property of Ijalyan, and any image or recording depicting them is likewise Ijalyan’s to control. I will not reproduce, recreate, lend, alter, or sell Ijalyan costumes or intellectual property, or use them for any other performance, client, or business, and I will return all costumes and props in the condition provided.

4. Payment

Ijalyan will compensate me for each performance at the conclusion of that performance, via cash, Zelle, or check, as arranged for the engagement. The agreed rate covers the full call time, including preparation, and no additional fee is owed unless Ijalyan agrees to it in writing in advance. I will not negotiate or accept payment for any booking directly from a guest, client, or host; all booking and payment arrangements go through Ijalyan.

5. Term & Effective Date

This agreement takes effect on the date I sign below and governs all of my engagements with Ijalyan from that date forward, without the need to sign again for each event. Its confidentiality, no-contact, and intellectual property obligations survive the end of my engagement with Ijalyan and continue indefinitely.

6. Performer Responsibilities

I agree to arrive on time and fully prepared as instructed, to take care of any costumes and props provided to me, and to remain in character for the duration of each performance. I agree to be friendly and courteous with guests and to follow the direction of the manager present at the event. I understand I may take a break only after confirming with that manager. I understand that adequate street parking is my responsibility and I will allow enough time to find parking before my call time. If I cannot attend a confirmed engagement, I will notify Ijalyan as far in advance as possible.

7. Acknowledgment

I confirm that I have read and understood this agreement in full, that I am signing it voluntarily, and that I am of legal age to do so. I understand that breaching this agreement — in particular the confidentiality, no-contact, and intellectual property terms — may end my engagement with Ijalyan immediately.

Electronic Signature Disclosure & Consent

Signing here is legally binding.
An electronic signature has the same legal effect as one made by hand. Under the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 7001–7031) and the California Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (Cal. Civ. Code §§ 1633.1–1633.17), a contract or signature may not be denied legal effect, validity or enforceability solely because it is in electronic form, and where the law requires a signature, an electronic signature satisfies it.
It applies only because you agree to it.
California applies these rules only to parties who have each agreed to do business electronically (Cal. Civ. Code § 1633.5(b)). The consent box below is that agreement. You are not required to sign electronically.
Paper instead, and withdrawing consent.
You may request a paper copy of anything you sign here at no charge, and you may withdraw your consent to sign electronically at any time, by emailing [email protected] or calling (818) 821-4833. Withdrawal applies to documents you have not yet signed; it does not affect the validity of a document you have already signed.
What you need to sign and to keep a copy.
A device with a current web browser and an internet connection, a screen able to display this page, a way to draw a signature with a mouse, trackpad or finger, and the ability to open, save or print a PDF. A signed PDF is emailed to you the moment you submit, and you can download it from this page.
What is recorded with your signature.
Your typed name, the signature you draw, the date and time of signing, your network (IP) address, and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the exact document shown to you on this page. These are kept as evidence of what you signed and when, and of the fact that the signature was your act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1633.9).
