Accessibility
Everyone gets in.
This site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, level AA. That is the standard we hold it to and test against. It is not a certificate, and no automated tool issues one: where the site falls short of the standard, it is named below rather than papered over.

What has been done
- Keyboard
- Every control on the site — navigation, tabs, the application forms, the signature pad — is reachable and operable with a keyboard alone, and the focus ring is visible on all of them.
- Skip link
- A “skip to content” link is the first thing a keyboard or screen reader lands on, so the header can be passed in one keystroke.
- Contrast
- Body text and interface text are held to at least 4.5:1 against their background. The brand gold is beautiful and is 2.8:1, so it is used for fills, rules and ornament only, never to carry text; a deeper tone of the same hue does that.
- Motion
- Every animation on the site — the page fade, the marquee, the photograph lifts, the hero rise — is switched off entirely when your system asks for reduced motion.
- Forms
- Every input has a real label, not a placeholder standing in for one. Errors are announced, listed in one place at the top, and described in words rather than signalled only by colour.
- Structure
- One h1 per page, headings in order, real landmarks, and navigation built from links a screen reader can list rather than buttons that only work with a mouse.
- Touch
- Interactive targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels on a phone, including the footer links, which is where they are usually smallest.
What falls short
A statement that lists only successes is not a statement. These are open.
- Film captions
- The gallery films have no captions or transcripts. They carry no speech — they are performance footage set to music — but that is a reason, not an excuse, and captions are planned.
- Photograph descriptions
- Gallery images are decorative and carry empty alt text so a screen reader passes over them rather than reading a filename. Descriptive alt text for the portfolio is being written.
- Independent audit
- This statement is based on our own testing, not a third-party audit. We have not commissioned one, and we do not claim formal WCAG conformance on the strength of our own word.
If something stops you
Write or call and say what you were trying to do and what got in the way. A person reads it, you get an answer within two business days, and if the thing you needed was to book an event or send an application, we will take it down over the phone and do the typing ourselves.
